Job Description:
Blue Water Thinking is seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Program Manager - Healthcare to join our team, supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). This role requires a recognized level of expertise in healthcare program management, with responsibilities including the provision of strategic advice, and support for the development and implementation of strategic planning initiatives. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in developing strategic goals, objectives, strategies, and performance measures to ensure alignment with the VA's mission and operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise on and assist with the establishment and implementation of the customer's strategic direction.
- Support strategic planning processes, including the development of strategic goals, objectives, strategies, and performance measures.
- Ensure that strategic initiatives are aligned with organizational goals and VA standards.
- Collaborate with VA stakeholders to understand their needs and integrate their input into program strategies.
- Monitor and report on program progress against strategic goals and performance metrics.
The position operates on a hybrid work schedule, requiring on-site presence for five days each pay cycle, primarily in the DC metropolitan area, at various identified VA location.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Minimum 12 years of experience in program management within a healthcare setting.
- Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning and execution within healthcare environments.
- Proven ability to advise and lead strategic initiatives in complex organizations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business Administration, or related field.
- Extensive experience working with the VA or other government healthcare entities.
- Certification in Project Management (PMP) or Healthcare Management (FACHE).
- Strong analytical skills and experience with performance metrics and outcomes analysis.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a proven track record of managing cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge, experience and understanding of VHA.
Eligibility:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required federal public trust clearance for this role.
Compensation:
Salary for this position is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, location, the candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract specific affordability and organizational requirements.
The proposed salary range for this position is $150,000 - $170,000.
