Senior Program Manager, Global Logistics, Inbound New Vendor Freight Orchestration - Amazon

Description Amazon is looking for a Senior Program Manager with a strong delivery record and proven project management experience to own strategic, tactical, cross-functional and technology projects and programs across multiple verticals. This role requires scoping and creating project plans, developing processes, coordinating and driving execution, and communicating to senior management on status, risks and process/product changes. Cross-team coordination, project management and executive presentation skills are essential. The ideal candidate will leverage extensive project management experience, combined with deep analytical capabilities and a keen sense of innovation, to lead complex projects from conception to completion. We are seeking a Senior Program Manager to effectively manage the creation and enhancement of our supply chain and transportation networks. In this role, you will scope large projects, track project timelines, and develop mechanisms for communicating status, risk, and business challenges. The ideal candidate must be adept at cross-team coordination, project management, and data analysis, with a proven history of delivering results. Key job responsibilities - Supply chain, transportation, or logistic network management solution experience - Manage and oversee various cross-functional programs, ensuring successful delivery. - Develop and refine program strategies, effectively leading and motivating teams. - Set clear objectives for programs, leveraging data analytics to drive improvements and achieve metrics. - Navigate and resolve ambiguities in business scenarios, applying creative problem-solving skills. - Foster collaboration with internal and external partners to optimize resource allocation and project success. - Evaluate and prioritize projects in conjunction with customer needs and technical team inputs. - Bridge gaps in team dynamics, processes, and systems, preventing common project pitfalls. - Identify and mitigate risks, preventing them from escalating into major issues. - Regularly communicate with senior managers, business leaders, and other stakeholders to support key business initiatives. - Develop, implement, and oversee KPI reporting for a program portfolio, ensuring clear visibility of milestones and project performance. - Manage and communicate project budgets effectively. A day in the life Each day with the Inbound NVF Orchestration team is Day 1! The Senior Program Manager will delve into Amazon's inbound network, identifying opportunities to improve metrics such as inbound speed (Mean Days Processing Delay), variable cost per unit (VCPU), capacity and resource utilization, inventory placement, First Pass Yield, and other critical metrics. You will determine where bottlenecks exist and identify new and creative solutions to avoid or mitigate defects within the Inbound Supply Chain. You will integrate these solutions with our operations and integration teams to improve overall performance, increase fluidity of the inbound network, and reduce costs. The base pay for this position ranges from $92,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market.
