The Division of Violence Prevention's Capacity Building & Training Initiative (CBTI) is seeking a full-time Senior Program Manager to co-facilitate CBTI's trauma-informed and equitable training and quality improvement activities with City and community partners. This role will have a particular focus on initiatives related to vicarious trauma and workforce well-being and racial justice and health equity.
The ideal candidate will have experience in human services (e.g. in a youth program, community health center, etc.) and is passionate about creating more trauma-informed and equitable organizations and systems. They have strong training and facilitation skills, including navigating learning and dialogue on complex topics such as trauma, resilience, stress, wellbeing, racial equity, and gender equity. They are self-reflective, collaborative, and welcome giving and receiving constructive feedback from colleagues and partners. They have experience managing complex projects and are committed to applying a trauma-informed and equitable approach in all elements of their work.

We recognize the impact of this work and model a trauma-informed and equitable approach for ourselves as individuals, as a team, and in supervision. This includes strategies for supporting individual and team well-being, building positive relationships with one another, accessing supportive resources, and more.
DUTIES:
* Collaborate with CBTI team members to design and facilitate innovative and interactive trainings on trauma, equity and workforce well-being for service providers (e.g. youth workers, providers serving immigrant and refugee communities, counselors)
* Create or enhance existing slides, materials, tools and activities that are engaging and support training participants in applying the learning to their work with children, youth and families
* Work with the team to review training requests and adapt our core curricula to meet the needs and strengths of community partners seeking tailored training workshops
* Update and co-lead CBTI's Learning Collaborative that focuses on reducing inequities in retention and advancement of Black, indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) mental and behavioral health providers.
* As part of the Collaborative, co-facilitate interactive, healing-centered learning and support sessions for BIPOC service providers to support their well-being and build community
* Co-facilitate learning sessions and provide coaching to organization's leadership and managers on ways they can better address vicarious trauma and create more trauma-informed and equitable programs
* Be consistent and timely when completing administrative and project management activities (e-mails, scheduling meetings, data entry, creating agendas, outlines, workplans, etc.) related to trainings, Learning Collaboratives and other projects
* Provide strengths-based guidance, feedback and support to other team members (e.g. support in co-facilitation, feedback on deliverables, etc.) and community partners when relevant
* Minimum 4 years of experience in human services field (violence prevention, housing, recovery services, public health, youth work, family advocacy, mental health, or related) OR 3 years with a Bachelors degree or 2 years with a Masters degree in relevant field (public health, social work, counseling, public policy, sociology, etc.)
* Minimum 2 years of experience in activities related to teaching, learning or training (e.g. designing educational curricula, delivering workshops, teaching assistant, youth education, etc.)
* Strong group facilitation skills, including capacity to navigate complex and sensitive topics such as stress, trauma, violence, racism, and resiliency in trauma-informed, equitable ways
* Bilingual language capacity required, with speaking at fluent-level or above and reading/writing at intermediate-level or above in any of the following language(s): Spanish, Haitian Creole, Cape Verdean Creole, or Vietnamese. Bicultural applicants strongly encouraged.
* Knowledge of trauma-informed and equitable approaches; familiarity or interest in learning more about organizational change or quality improvement
* Knowledge of the impact of structural and institutional racism and intersections with multiple forms of oppression, and knowledge of or interest in strategies for promoting racial justice and health equity
* Strong interpersonal skills including ability to practice self-reflection, give and receive constructive feedback, and build authentic relationships with colleagues and partners
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to balance working independently and collaboratively to produce high-quality work and consistently meet deadlines.
* Skilled in creating slides, flyers, handouts, e-mail communications, and other written materials that are engaging and accessible to different audiences
