Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Execution: Lead the development and implementation of healthcare informatics strategies aligned with the Veterans Health Administration's goals. Utilize agile methodologies to effectively manage complex projects from inception to successful completion.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Foster partnerships with key stakeholders across the VHA and external organizations to support healthcare informatics initiatives. Ensure alignment and integration with broader healthcare priorities.
Change Leadership: Drive the adoption of new processes, technologies, and innovations within the healthcare informatics domain. Apply change management principles to facilitate smooth transitions and garner organizational buy-in.
Data Analysis & Reporting: Conduct comprehensive analyses to evaluate the impact of informatics projects. Utilize data-driven insights to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement efforts.
Communication: Develop and execute effective communication strategies to articulate project goals, progress, and outcomes. Foster transparency and stakeholder engagement through clear and persuasive communication.
Quality Assurance & Compliance: Ensure that health informatics initiatives adhere to federal regulations, VA policies, and industry best practices. Uphold the highest standards of quality and security.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, Informatics, Computer Science, Public Health, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in program analysis, project management, or a related role within the federal government. Preference for backgrounds in health care informatics or the Veterans Health Administration.
Change Management: Proven ability to lead organizational change. Certification in change management methodologies (e.g., Prosci, ACMP) highly valued.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities, with experience in data analysis, performance measurement, and the use of metrics to guide strategic decisions and improvements.
Communication: Exceptional communication and facilitation skills, capable of engaging diverse audiences, conveying complex information clearly and persuasively, and achieving consensus among stakeholders.
Additional Information:
This position offers a hybrid of remote work and on-site presence at customer sites such as VA Central Office and VA facilities.
