**What you will do-**
Directs the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives. Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply. Makes budgetary recommendations and at higher levels, controls capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor. Develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas. Directly responsible for supervising production of class III medical devices. This position requires a broad scope of responsibility and flexibility to ensure all production, quality, regulatory, and safety objectives. Includes supervision of production team members and executing lean initiatives.
**MAJOR DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Plan and manage the day to day allocation of resources (equipment, people, materials and systems) in order to efficiently, safely and cost effectively achieve performance targets
+ This position manages all employees of the department and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within that department
+ Coach, mentor and develop team members to meet current and future business requirements
+ Champion and lead change initiatives and continuous improvement efforts, including lean and continuous improvement
+ Build relationships with frontline team members, internal customers and suppliers, colleagues and support services to ensure achievement of targets
+ Maintaining safe environment and safety practices in all business initiatives
+ Lead MDI (management for daily improvement) meeting and actions
+ Understand and adhere to internal and external regulations, procedures & policies
+ Lead 6S activities
+ Review daily achievement of targets and report variances during on-the-floor and off floor review meetings
+ Ensure the development and implementation of action plans to address root causes of failures and support continuous improvement initiatives
**What you need-**
+ Minimum of four or more years of experience - required
+ Four year degree or equivalent combination of education & experience - required
+ Continuous improvement or process improvement experience. Green belt or black belt certification - preferred
+ Strong decision-making skills
+ Ability to communicate effectively, fosters team development, good organizational skills, and detail orientation
+ Works well under pressure of simultaneous activities
+ Self-motivated and able to work independently with little supervision. Initiates resolution to problems
+ Professional and effective written, oral and presentation skills
+ Demonstrated computer literacy to include Microsoft Office tools
+ Ability to implement changes to business processes and practices
$87,600.00 - $186,700.00 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
