This position is eligible for remote work. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain the ongoing go-to-market strategy for the Overstock App.
- Grow user awareness and knowledge of the App among the target consumer base and broader business community.
- Work across product, merchandising, and marketing to ensure that the App is accurately integrated into the Overstock narrative.
- Create App-specific marketing plans and activities to drive downloads and sales on the App platform.
- Synthesize consumer insights, data, and industry best practices to share with key stakeholders. Track, study and report on competitive landscape to assess how Overstock compares in terms of performance, revenue, adoption, etc.
- In partnership with product management, identify new App features and partners based on consumer insights and competitive positioning. Help team prioritize the key features that will attract customers. Act as a thought leader for the App.
- Develop assets and content for internal and external presentations including organization updates, enablement sessions, and webinars. Ensure App is properly represented in cross-platform initiatives.
- Maintain essential messaging documents, internal & external presentations, data, and other vital assets to effectively evangelize the value propositions of the App.
- Increase demand generation by supporting the broader marketing team with customer-facing campaigns and marketing initiatives.
- Become an expert on how customers enable and use the Overstock App and understand how those needs evolve.
- Launch new product features or enhancements by communicating the product value to the consuming public.
- Collaborate with various marketing teams to develop innovative programs that drive demand.
- Ensure product marketing programs align with the company’s business strategies.
- Propose, assess estimated impact, and coordinate promotional activity to drive App usage. Coordinate across teams to manage cost. Assess the effectiveness of marketing programs on an ongoing basis and report back to business leaders on impact and implications.
- Follow prescribed legal guidelines and requirements.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Competencies (Required and Preferred):
Required:
- 5+ years of professional experience in marketing for a home furnishings or other consumer retail company, including 2+ years in product marketing specifically focused on app development, app partnerships, and app integrations.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
- Team player, a pro at building differentiated messaging and assets, and effective in hybrid and remote working environments. Humble, open to feedback, and naturally curious to learn more.
- Highly developed and creative problem-solving and project management skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, effectively synthesize goals and objectives, and formulate strategic plans while monitoring their progress.
- Excellent time management, decision-making ability, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to execute in ambiguity and able to step back to connect to big picture goals. Demonstrated ability to think innovatively and strategically to create business-building impact.
- Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and with multiple teams across an organization, ranging from merchandising, finance, UX/UI, product, technical development, etc.
- Demonstrated experience in developing strategic business plans for product lines, writing promotions and marketing content, and launching new products from consumer insights and product ideas to develop marketing creative messaging.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Experience with project management software, collaboration tools, and analytics applications.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills. Ability to professionally interact with associates at all levels.
- Ability to influence people cross-functionally and coach direct reports to operate as a high-performing team.

Base Pay Range
$94,000-$100,000

Physical Requirements:
This position requires you to sit, stand and perform general office functions. You may also be required to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. Bending, stooping and reaching are also frequently required.
