We're Looking For
A passionate Senior Product Manager to support our vehicle reconditioning process. We have built an entirely new, custom inspection, parts and reconditioning platform, and need your help continuing to innovate and change the world. You will play a pivotal role in designing new products, using ML and AI to automate processes, and work with an incredible team that consistently delivers incredible experiences. Responsibilities
You will collect and analyze data, work closely with design and engineering to scope releases, write detailed requirements, and prioritize features and bugs. You're also expected to be the expert in your domain, ultimately responsible for the success of projects, movement of metrics and the long-term trajectory of happy customers.
What You'll Be Doing
- Help drive the vision and strategy, participating end to end in the product SDLC
- Write requirements and acceptance criteria, partnering with UX, engineering, data science, and QA
- Focus the team on solving the most important problems with solutions that put our users first
- Become an expert in how users inspect, purchase parts and recondition vehicles
- Run and analyze product experiments, determining our next move if we get unexpected results
- Be actively involved in interpreting analytics and customer data
- Collaborate with Carvana's Engineering, Creative, Marketing, Finance, Pricing, and Customer Advocate teams. As we say in Carvana, "There are no sidelines."
Required Skills And Experience
- At least 5 years of experience in software product management
- Deep product experience at one or more highly successful (and ideally hypergrowth) companies
- Experience with SQL with a deep understanding of metrics to help build out best-in-class reporting solutions
- Experience building word-class, cloud-based solutions
- Split-testing A/B design and interpretation
- Great communication and collaboration skills
- Open to feedback from all parts of the company
- A sense of humor. Read this again, if necessary
It Would Be Great If You Also Had
- Product or development experience with mobile apps
- Good design sensibility (your wireframes don't make people laugh or cry)
- Knowledge of data science best practices
- Agile methodology experience
- Product strategy/roadmapping experience
- Familiarity with Tableau (for creating new reports)
- Understanding of ML models and AI capabilities
- Automotive industry experience and/or fascination with cars
