Softbank is making significant investments in infrastructure for AI. Softbank Corp. has recently established a new US center in Silicon Valley, focused on infrastructure software for AI and AI foundations for mobile networks. Our goals are to challenge the norms and create products making use of our SOTA infrastructure and cloud-native software. These products are geared towards centralized AI data centers as well as distributed AI Radio Access Network (AI RAN) data centers. We are looking for expert practitioners who are inspired to bring innovation and build transformative products.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in product management, leading high-impact software infrastructure projects.
• Strong experience working with platforms and distributed systems, including AI or machine learning workloads.
• Experience collaborating closely with engineering teams on systems, systems SW, AI infrastructure or applied AI.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
• Deep product experience with Kubernetes, container orchestration, and cloud infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of GPU systems and high-performance computing environments.
• Experience in defining and launching scalable infrastructure to support AI workloads.
• Experience or familiarity with AI developer frameworks, tools, and automation systems.

About the Role:

As a Senior Product Manager for Infrastructure Software for AI, you will be the Directly Responsible Individual (DRI) for product strategy and roadmap for AI compute infrastructure, guiding a team of talented engineers to build the next generation of software systems that support AI workloads (training, fine-tuning, and inferencing). Your role will focus on creating innovative solutions to manage GPU-based systems and Kubernetes infrastructure, ensuring scalability, performance, and efficiency. You will work closely with engineering teams, program management, and cross-functional stakeholders to drive the commercialization of infrastructure products that power AI applications at scale.

Responsibilities:

• Define product strategy and own the roadmap for infrastructure software that supports AI workloads on large-scale GPU systems.
• Collaborate with engineering to deliver control plane features like scheduling and orchestration, as well as the management plane for underlying platforms.
• Provide leadership in defining and delivering northbound APIs for customer interaction with the infrastructure.
• Work cross-functionally with program management and technical teams to own product definition (PRD) and drive the resulting product execution schedules.
• Align product features with customer needs and ensure timely delivery of high-impact infrastructure solutions.
• Attract, develop, and inspire a talented team to ensure successful product delivery.
• Role model and foster a culture of humility and innovation for product delivery.
