Software Resources has an immediate, contract to hire job opportunity for a Senior Product Manager - Employee Experience Portal with a major corporation in Century City, CA. On-site on Tuesdays.
Pay Rate: $50 - $60/hr DOE
Scope:
The Senior Product Manager for the Employee Experience Portal is an experienced, motivated corporate professional with experience creating a strategy and roadmap for the deployment of an internal communications platform and then using that strategy to lead the effort in delivering that product successfully to the firm ensuring it meets feature, calendar, and financial requirements. This Senior Product Manager has experience advising and educating executives and leadership teams on the benefits of an employee engagement and communications product and has a proven track record counseling management on a wide range of issues covering implementation details and potential pitfalls to avoid. In addition, this role will establish and lead the firm's Content Editing Committee and work closely with other vertical teams including Marketing, Public Relations, the Human Capital Group, Presentation & Graphics, and Information Technology, among others, to ensure the new Employee Experience Portal remains vibrant and relevant as a communication tool for the firm.

Key Responsibilities:
- Establishes, leads, and executes the firm's Content Editing Committee in support of the firm's employee engagement objectives, culture of transparency, and business goals.
- Guides the amplification efforts of office, department, and Business Unit communications campaigns, and strategic organizational initiatives using the new portal tools. Develops strong relationships with various department stakeholders to understand their objectives and goals.
- Establish, track, measure, and publish metrics for portal usage and effectiveness.
- Acts as a strong team builder and creative thought partner leveraging previous experience leading a dispersed team of content contributors and creators.
- Determine internal and contract/external resources and skills required for the product team to deliver on the product roadmap.
- Oversee the end-to-end management of the new employee experience platform, including development, testing, deployment, channel strategy definition, content migration, internal launch planning, employee engagement initiatives, and digital adoption strategy implementation.
- Contribute to translating business requirements into actionable product and technical requirements.
- Oversee the content creation provided by the various contributing departments to ensure it meets guidelines and standards. It also includes overseeing the budget for the project and ensuring the achievement of key milestones.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to connect the dots and synthesize complex information that will be presented in the Employee Experience Portal. Continuously monitor and evaluate product performance and proactively champion product improvements.
- Proactively identify and resolve blockers to achieve business objectives for the product, including technical and resourcing challenges.
- Works across departments to ensure they can use the firm's communication portal to perform their tasks such as onboarding, training, compliance, etc.
Basic Qualifications:
- A minimum of 7 years of product management or related experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management or Business Administration, or a related field required.
- Excellent writing and communication skills, with experience managing computer software related technologies
- Excellent leadership skills (i.e., organizing, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making) necessary for effective management.
- Well-developed and professional interpersonal skills; ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm.
- Ability to perceive and analyze problems, and a capacity to make or recommend sound decisions.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with the appropriate discretion.
- Strong analytical skills are needed for all primary duties of the position, including comprehending and communicating data.
- Ability to undertake large, long-term projects/programs, and creatively adjust the product roadmap and overcome challenges as needed.
- Advanced knowledge of PC applications, including the entire suite of MS Office applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a Financial Services firm preferred.
- Experience implementing other Employee Experience Portals or Intranet Platforms is preferred.
