America’s Test Kitchen (ATK) is seeking a Senior Product Manager, Data, to drive the roadmap and execution of data initiatives across the organization in close collaboration with the ATK Analytics & Marketing Teams.
This role will lead efforts to build and optimize ATK’s data layer, ensure effective governance of analytics and martech systems, and operationalize self-service data across the organization. The Data Product Manager will also play a key role in overseeing the data technology stack and ensuring the success of data-driven strategies across ATK's digital products.
As a Senior Product Manager, you will work on a cross-functional Data Team within Digital and collaborate closely with product, engineering, analytics, marketing, and editorial stakeholders. Your work will be instrumental in powering personalized experiences for our users while ensuring that our organization makes data-driven decisions regarding our users, products, and content.
Responsibilities:
Define and execute the roadmap in partnership with the Analytics & Marketing teams for data projects, focusing on building a unified data layer that centralizes and distributes data efficiently across all digital products and third-party systems, including MarTech tools, subscription management platforms, CDPs, ESPs, DMPs, and DSPs (e.g., Piano, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze, Acxiom, BlueConic, etc.)
Work alongside a cross-functional team, including Data Architects, Data Engineers, and Systems Engineers, to successfully deliver data solutions that support ATK's product and marketing needs.
Collaborate with the Product Owner (PO) from the Analytics team to gather and prioritize use cases and requirements, ensure alignment with broader digital strategies and business goals, and refine the roadmap to meet those objectives.
Optimize data flows across digital platforms, ensuring minimal performance impact on sites and apps while managing data integration with MarTech and analytics systems.
Drive key data projects, such as overhauling ATK’s Mixpanel integration to clean up event tracking and evolving ATK’s recipe schema to enhance SEO and recipe-related product features.
Oversee the governance of analytics systems (e.g., Mixpanel, Google Analytics, Acxiom, BlueConic, Parse.ly) to ensure data consistency, accuracy, and quality. Implement best practices for data governance and manage the integration of analytics tools with other systems.
Facilitate data-driven personalization for users across consumer touchpoints, leveraging user preferences and behavioral signals to improve the timing & relevancy of messaging and recommendations across ATK’s mobile app, website, email program, SMS, mobile push, online ads, direct mail & beyond.
Partner with the teams across the organization to enable self-service access to data across departments, including creating documentation and facilitating training to support non-technical users in utilizing data effectively. Ensure data is easy to access and operationalized across the organization.
Skills You'll Need:
Managing data governance and architecture, with experience implementing data frameworks and overseeing analytics systems.
Proven experience in managing product lifecycles in a data-focused environment with cross-functional teams.
Hands-on experience managing and integrating analytics and MarTech platforms (e.g., Mixpanel, Google Analytics, Tableau, CRM databases, CDPs, ESPs/CEPs, etc.).
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams, ensuring alignment on data strategies and priorities.
Critical thinker with a passion for driving innovation and solving complex data challenges. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving data landscape.
Experience operationalizing self-service data for stakeholders, ensuring data literacy and adoption across non-technical teams.
Qualifications & Experience:
- BS or BA in a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in product management, particularly within data and analytics domains.
- Strong background in data architecture, analytics governance, and working with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with data privacy and governance best practices.
- Hands-on experience with analytics platforms such as Mixpanel, Google Analytics, and Tableau and familiarity with server-side and client-side data collection infrastructure.
- Experience with SQL for querying large datasets and performing exploratory analysis is a plus.
This position is located in our Boston, MA office in the Seaport district. It is the expectation that the person in this role will work a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) in the office and 2 days per week remotely.
