About the Job
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical assistance on Body Interior & Electrical problems via TSARA and phone conversations. Create and submit reports to BMW AG on trends identified for Body Electrical issues.
- Independently monitor Body Interior & Electrical diagnostic/programming and product problems occurring at retail centers or on vehicles in customer's possession. Independently develop reliable, high quality, written and verbal communications and reports.
- Present/communicate all findings related to Body Interior & Electrical technical problems to BMW AG Development Engineers including Factory Engineers in order to quickly obtain a viable production/field solution.
- Develop, write, and publish Service Information Bulletins, Service Actions and Recalls to retail centers following applicable procedures. Process, validate and publish technical fixes released as Compass Service Solutions in a timely manner.
- Prepare Body Interior & Electrical technical issue updates and present them in the monthly BMW Service Roundtable and MINI Bonnet Boots and Wings.
- Independently gather or ensure availability of all relevant Body Interior & Electrical information about reported or perceived product, diagnostic/programming/HV charging problems including but not limited to warranty data, TSARA/PuMA Information, parts availability and cost, frequency of occurrence, detail of customer complaint if applicable, conditions and details of reported problem.
- Monitor data from social media reports and customer welcome calls and report new issues to AG as needed.
- In support of BMW of North America's business objectives, this position requires regular attendance at a BMW office.

The pay range for this role is: $105,213.00 - $123,780.00
The selected candidate's education, skills, experience, and location will be used to determine the final salary offer. All pay ranges are based on a full-time work schedule. This statement is in accordance with state and local pay disclosure requirements.

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering
- 5-7 years' experience with 7+ preferred in the auto industry in OEM, or retail organization
- Proven knowledge of Body Interior & Electrical systems, including diagnosis and programming of electrical components
Preferences:
- Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred
- Ability to troubleshoot Body Interior & Electrical issues for 12-volt systems.
- Microsoft Windows and Office, BMW Group programming and diagnostic software, excellent telephone, and email skills.
- ASE certified in A1-A8
