Overview:
The Sr. Procurement Analyst, Aftermarket is an integral part of the procurement team. The initial goal will be to gain a solid knowledge of the team's supply base, company and procurement processes, and understanding of the roles and personnel of associated work groups inside Client.
The Sr. Procurement Analyst, Aftermarket supports the Category Manager in managing Cost, Quality and Delivery performance of Client's Supply Base. Key activities include, but not limited to, management of Cost Reduction projects, assisting with strategic sourcing activities for new programs and transfer business, supplier contract negotiations and administration, supplier performance management, working closely with the Best Cost Country Sourcing Team on projects and developing strategies for tail spend suppliers to effectively consolidate the supply base.
As Sr. Procurement Analyst, Aftermarket you will be a member of a Category Management Team (CMT), which provides the opportunity to work cross functionally within Client interfacing with the product development, program management, quality, manufacturing, risk management, finance, logistics, aftermarket parts, product pricing, supply chain and more.
As you grow and demonstrate solid performance in this role, expect to be given additional responsibilities within Procurement, including management of supplier relationships and performance, commodity strategy development and a higher level of exposure to Procurement leadership.
Demonstrating solid performance in this role will position you well for advancement into jobs of higher responsibility within Client Procurement, including Category Manager, Purchasing Commodity Manager (PCM) and Purchasing Program Manager (PPM).
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor's degree
At least 2 years of purchasing/procurement experience
OR
Master's degree
OR
At least 4 years of purchasing/procurement experience
Position Purpose and Requirements:
Performs activities related to the purchasing of materials, equipment and services for internal company use. Implements and communicates company policies and procedures for purchasing. Reviews purchase requests for completeness and compliance with company requirements; negotiates with vendors and approves purchases of authorized amounts or size. Maintains and updates purchasing orders, systems, and documentation. Monitors the cost, schedule and performance metrics of contracts and subcontracts.
Additional Requirements:
Qualified candidates, excluding current Client employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Client does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)

Strong communication skills, written, verbal and presentation
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to relate and work well with others
Attention to detail with ability to manage many items at one time effectively
Experience in a large, multi-functional company
Purchasing, engineering, manufacturing or quality experience
Familiarity with manufacturing processes and key cost drivers
Ability to read & understand prints and technical specifications is a plus
