Senior Process Engineer – Water/Wastewater - Base Salary to 120k/year – Kalamazoo, MI

• Our client is a full-service architectural, civil engineering, and land surveying firm, which has been in business for over 75 years, and exists to serve people and the communities in which they live. They have a dynamic team of over 170 professionals that work to analyze, advise, design, and deliver successful projects in partnership with government, education, commercial, and energy clients throughout the Great Lakes region. They offer their clients comprehensive, multi-disciplinary services including Architecture, Civil Engineering, Surveying, Construction Services, GIS, Interior Design, Landscape Architecture, and Reality Capture.
• Currently they are seeking a several Process Engineers to join the team. Responsibilities include planning, design, permitting, and construction of water and wastewater infrastructure projects. They need critical thinkers with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a team environment across different disciplines. Our client is hiring for both a Senior Process Engineer and a Process Engineer out of Kalamazoo.

Responsibilities:

• Meet with clients and perform field evaluations to understand project needs
• Prepare feasibility studies and engineering reports, process design calculations
• Coordinate with equipment representatives and manufacturers regarding water and wastewater system layout
• Coordinate design efforts with project team members, to include specification writing, construction permitting, preparation of bidding documents, review of shop drawings, and coordination of construction administration responsibilities

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of water and wastewater process experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering
• PE Licensure in Michigan (or ability to acquire within 6 months of hire)
• Proficiency in either AutoCAD, Revit, or Civil 360
• Construction observation experience preferred

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 60k – 70k/year range (Junior Process Engineer) or 85k - 120k/year (Senior Process Engineer), dependent on experience
