About the Role:
Under the guidance of the Senior Engineering Manager, the Senior Process Engineer will take ownership of designing, implementing, and documenting transformative processes across a high-volume, high-mix reverse logistics network. Your expertise in automation, process optimization, and performance improvement will enable success in onboarding new clients and exceeding SLA benchmarks.
You’ll be a key player in integrating Lean and Six Sigma principles, performing gap analyses, and creating measurable deliverables to align operational outcomes with strategic goals.
Your Contributions Will Include:
- Leading as the primary Process Engineering contact, coordinating projects that deliver impactful solutions.
- Conducting gap analyses and leveraging automation to develop innovative process capabilities.
- Developing detailed project delivery plans, addressing risks, and driving issue resolution.
- Spearheading initiatives to enhance efficiency across materials, manpower, and equipment usage.
- Performing time studies and workload analyses to establish baseline productivity metrics and identify improvement opportunities.
- Collaborating with Quality Assurance and Materials teams to resolve escalations and secure alternative component sources.
- Utilizing advanced data analytics to drive actionable insights for performance improvement.
- Designing and implementing process layouts and tooling enhancements to elevate throughput and product quality.
- Educational Background: Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial or Mechanical) preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of 7+ years of process development experience with a degree or 12+ years of direct experience in reverse logistics, supply chain operations, or high-volume manufacturing.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with tools such as Minitab, AutoCAD, Visio, and LabVIEW is highly advantageous.
- Process Improvement Champion: Demonstrated success in implementing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, achieving quantifiable cost and time savings.
- Detail-Oriented Problem Solver: Strong analytical skills to conduct root cause analysis, corrective action planning, and process validation.
