Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, monitor, and optimize process strategies in our industrial plant.
- Utilize chemical process simulators and Aspen Plus to enhance efficiency and safety.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
- Use Autodesk software for designing and drafting process systems.
- Conduct process simulations and troubleshooting.
- Oversee operational processes, ensuring that they comply with regulatory requirements and safety standards.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure processes align with overall project objectives.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement preventative measures.
- Lead Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) studies.
- Direct reduction and other cost-saving measures.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers, fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role within the Manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in using chemical process simulators, Aspen Plus, and Autodesk software.
- Solid experience in developing and interpreting Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
- Strong understanding of industrial plant operations.
- Experience in conducting Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) studies.
- Demonstrated experience in direct reduction and other cost-saving measures.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven leadership capabilities, with the ability to mentor and inspire a team.
- Committed to ongoing professional development.
- A professional engineering (PE) license is preferred.
