Raytheon is hiring a Senior Principal Software Engineering Product Manager to support our teams in Richardson, Texas. You will have the opportunity to directly impact the world around you and contribute to classified programs and technologies you are passionate about.
What You Will Do
- Communicate the program vision to the Agile Release Train (ART) and develop/maintain the ART roadmap and backlog
- Collaborate with System Architect/Release Train Engineer to ensure that the program backlog is decomposed in alignment to the corresponding architecture and design
- Define and maintain the Nonfunctional Requirements (NFRs) to ensure that the solution and product meets relevant standards and other system quality requirements
- Continuously develop and communicate the vision to the Agile Teams
- Define the ART roadmap for how features are intended to be implemented over time
- Responsible for approving Program Increment (PI) Objectives and establishing business value for the ART
- Ensure that the built solutions satisfy the requirements, use-cases and required functionality
- Understand, define and document customer needs with clear acceptance criteria
- Ensure the product is considered ‘whole and complete’ from a defined customer’s perspective and accept the output of the ART
- Responsible for ensuring features are ready and prioritized in the backlog to support planning events and to feed the development teams
- Ensures all Contract Deliverable items are completed and submitted
- Responsible for Government Furnished Equipment and Information, giver/receiver, and dependencies within the ART
- Responsible for Requests For Change, Engineering Change Proposals and all ART-level backlogs
- Demonstrate critical thinking skills with the ability to communicate concepts and ideas well.
- Use proven problem solving and analytical skills.
- The ability to obtain and maintain SCI program access and complete polygraphs.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and at least 10 years of prior, relevant experience.
- Software development experience.
- Experience using agile software tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Experience managing multiple tasks.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issuedTS/SCI with CI poly is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- SAFe 5 certification (Product Manager, Product Owner).
- Minimum 3 year's experience with National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG).
- Experience working with customers or end-users to define capability requirements.
- Experience supporting new business bids and proposals.

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
