Senior Principal Scientist- Lipid Nanoparticle Engineering at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc.

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Principal Scientist to join our Non-viral Delivery Technologies team within Regeneron Genetic Medicines (RGM). You would be responsible for driving the development of new technologies to target lipid nanoparticles (LNP) to specific tissues and cell types, building on Regenerons suite of technologies in the antibody and genetic medicines space. You will also be responsible for the development, modification, optimization, and production of LNPs to advance our efforts across our pipeline.

As a Senior Principal Scientist, a typical day might include the following:

• Providing leadership and guidance to a team of scientists, fostering a culture of innovation, creativity, and collaboration

• Driving strategic planning and project design, and overseeing the design of in vitro and in vivo experiments

• Working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure integration of new technologies into our workflows and processes

• Staying abreast of the latest developments in the LNP field and incorporating relevant innovations into our internal efforts

• Contributing to external collaborations and leading associated projects

• Presenting your project vision along with your research results to multi-disciplinary teams across the company, and contributing to scientific discussion

• Overseeing production of LNPs needed to advance research efforts across our pipeline

• Have strong project management skills and can be flexible to shifting priorities

• Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Think creatively and strategically with a strong problem-solving mentality

• Have experience in leading and managing cross functional collaborations and small teams

• Are passionate about innovation

To be considered for this role, you must have at least a BS/MS degree and 15+ years of relevant experience or a Ph.D. and 10+ years of relevant experience in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, Bioengineering, Chemistry, or related field. Industry experience is preferred. Experience with engineering lipid nanoparticles is required. Prior experience with targeted delivery systems is a plus. Experience with antibody engineering is also a plus. Prior management experience is preferred.
