Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems Sector is searching for a Senior Principal DevOps Software Engineer specialized in Platform Engineering to join our Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2) Platform Team. The location for this opportunity is Melbourne, Florida operating on our 9/80 schedule meaning you will get every other Friday off. The position does not have any remote or hybrid work available.
In this role you will be supporting the development pipelines across multiple environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Problem-solving skills and root-cause analysis to ensure that curated data is accurate, repeatable, and explainable
Design, model, and document the software release processes.
Effectively generating ideas and supporting building platform tools to effectively automate analysis processes and repetitive tasks.
Interpret data and analyze results using statistical and analytical techniques to provide ongoing reports and visualizations.
Requirement gathering, design, code, and test new software deployment pipelines across multiple environments from test to production with real hardware

Basic Qualifications:
Must have a Bachelor's degree in STEM and 8 years of relevant professional experience; or a Master's degree and 6 Years of relevant professional experience; or a PhD and 4 Years relevant professional experience.
Must have an active DoD Top Secret or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 5 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance prior to the commencement of employment
Demonstrates proficiency in Object Oriented (OO) programming in C++, Python, or Java.
Experience building, testing, maintaining, and releasing OCI-compliant containers
Experience with configuration and administration of DevOps tools, CI/CD concepts, and automated build pipelines
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with Agile lifecycle processes: Scrum, CI/CD, and Platform Engineering
Agile software development skills and familiarity with Atlassian Tools (Jira, Confluence)
Demonstrated professional experience in managing Kubernetes Cluster, Helm Chart, Containerized applications and deployment to on-prem CSP such as Azure Stack Hub
Demonstrated professional experience in managing repositories such as Artifactory, Nexus and GitLab
Experience with developing pipelines for one-click deployment using Terraform, Ansible, and other scripting languages.
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
