Position Overview:
We seek a dedicated and experienced Senior Practice Manager with a strong nursing and risk management background to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be crucial in supporting patients through their healthcare journeys, addressing concerns, managing care plans, and ensuring our organization maintains the highest standards of quality, safety, and compassion. This role requires exceptional leadership, emotional intelligence, and the ability to inspire a culture of patient-centered care and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Support: Act as a trusted advocate and secondary point of contact for patients (after front office staff triage), addressing concerns with empathy and facilitating effective communication between patients and providers.
Next Steps Coordination: Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with providers and managers, ensuring patients receive comprehensive, coordinated care. Educate patients and families about health conditions, provider-approved treatment plans, and available resources. Advocate passionately for patients' needs within the healthcare system.
Chart Audits: Conduct detailed audits of patient charts to ensure accurate documentation, compliance with regulatory standards, and alignment with best practices.
Quality Review: Participate in quality assurance initiatives, evaluate patient outcomes, and identify opportunities for enhancing clinical practices and patient care experiences.
Risk Management: Proactively identify and address potential risks, implementing strategies ensuring patient safety and compliance with company policies.
Team Collaboration: Foster a culture of trust, collaboration, and emotional intelligence among providers and clinical staff to enhance patient care and clinic operations.
Revenue Cycle Management: Oversee billing and coding personnel to ensure accurate, timely, and ethical billing practices.
Vendor Relationships: Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to uphold preferred healthcare partnerships and maintain good credit standing.
Company Financials: Reconcile and oversee the timely delivery of company financials from third-party bookkeepers, ensuring alignment with billing cycles and organizational goals.
Qualifications
Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree.
Preferred: Degree in Nursing (BSN), Business Administration, or related field.
Experience:
Minimum of five years of nursing experience in bedside care, case management, social work, or practice management.
Demonstrated ability to integrate emotional intelligence in patient care and team interactions.
Skills and Knowledge:
Strong understanding of financial analysis, budgeting, and accounting principles.
In-depth knowledge of chart auditing processes, quality improvement methodologies, and risk management strategies.
Exceptional emotional intelligence, including empathy, active listening, conflict resolution, and relationship-building skills.
Proven ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, families, and clinical teams.
Ability to inspire and mentor staff, fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) and other healthcare software.
Advanced proficiency in Google Suite and other relevant software.
Highly organized with outstanding time management and multitasking abilities.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy.
