About the Job
Overview: The Sr. Powerplant Engineer, reporting to the Manager of Powerplant Engineering, is responsible for ensuring the safety, airworthiness, and reliability of Atlas Air aircraft across ATA chapters 24, 26, 30, 36, 49, and 70-80.
Responsibilities:
- Manage projects for repairs, modifications, and alterations.
- Serve as the technical contact for troubleshooting.
- Issue documents to support safe and timely aircraft operations.
- Review OEM Service Bulletins and regulatory documents for implementation.
- Support investigations related to safety and reliability.
- Monitor fleet performance and initiate corrective actions.
- Liaise with manufacturers, MRO facilities, and regulatory personnel.
- Establish component repair specifications to enhance reliability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in Airline/OEM/MRO.
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant license preferred.
- Proficient in technical analysis and Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills.
Salary Range: $90,000 - $129,000
