Position Overview
The Office of Sponsored Programs is seeking to hire a Senior Post Award Analyst to join our team.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and four (4) years related experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- This individual must be able to engage and influence faculty, maintain a broad network of internal working relationships, and have up to date knowledge of applicable law and federal, state, institutional, and sponsor guidelines, including but not limited to FARS, DFARS, 2 CFR 200, and UGMS.
- Understands and respects the need for structured guidelines and protocols but is willing to ask for clarification if something doesn't make sense and could cause unnecessary problems for a CoWorker.
- Ensures smooth transition of important information from one person or department to another.

Job Duties:
- Initiate ProjID award setup in EIS System/PeopleSoft upon receipt of Notice of Grant Awards.
- Work with Principal Investigators and Department Administrators on Project Initiation Meetings (PIM), reconciling budgets for awards, reviewing and approving requests for re-budgets, progress report submissions and no cost extension requests.
- Review and approve expenditures, including but not limited to ePro requisitions for purchases, Pcard transactions, travel reimbursements, and approve ePARs for payroll allocation requests on sponsored research projects.
- Respond to internal and external customer inquiries regarding award management to include budget concerns, account status, carry forward requests, and subsequent years of funding.
- Liaison between the Sponsor and PI/Department Research Administrator for items requiring prior sponsor approval via email, phone calls or sponsor electronic websites for requests submissions.
- Provide training as needed to PIs/Department Research Administrators.
