Senior Portfolio Manager – SCT Global SourcingPosition Overview
Shaw’s Enterprise GlobalSourcing divisionis responsible forthe identification, negotiation, partnership, procurement,disbursementandmanagementof global suppliers. This team is also responsibleforthe corporate administration of our fleet service and real estate. The SCT– Global Sourcingteamthrough training,active support, strategy development andproblemresolutionworksalongside the Enterprise Global Sourcingdivisionontimely, efficient solutionsforbothourbusiness partners and customers.
As a leader in thisendeavor, theSenior PortfolioManager –SCTGlobal Sourcingis responsible formanaging a team of sourcing supportspecialistsadministeringthe technologies needed to successfully execute theGlobal Sourcing segment of theSupply Chain. These technologies include point solutions to address specificfunctions related toinformation and execution within the supply chainas well as enterprise solutions that bring the supply chain together. A key technology that is beingimplemented at Shaw is Oracle’s Enterprise Resource Planning tool – Fusion. Fusionwill be the foundation of the future for the vast majority of Supply Chain functions across the company, both domestically and internationally.
ThisSenior PortfolioManager – SCT Global Sourcingwill be on the leading edgefor drivingthe OracleFusion effort across global Sourcing. This position not only requires leadership and technicalexpertisebut also a deep understanding of how technology can streamline and improve global sourcing processes.
Educational / Professional Background Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree (Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or related field) and/or 6+ years practical Global Sourcing / Supply Chain Operations business experience.
Key Responsibilities Overview:
Leadership and Team Management:
Managing a team of sourcing support specialists who are responsible for the administration of technologies used within the supply chain.
Collaborating with the broader Global Sourcing division to align technology with business needs.
Technology Management and Implementation:
Overseeing the integration and implementation of Oracle Fusion, the new ERP system that will drive global sourcing and supply chain operations.
Ensuring that point solutions (specialized tools) and enterprise-level solutions (integrated systems) work together cohesively to meet sourcing and procurement needs across the company.
Process Optimization:
Identifyingopportunities for process improvements and working with stakeholders to implement solutions that enhance efficiency, visibility, and effectiveness across the supply chain.
Solving problems proactively to keepglobal sourcingand delivery processes on track.
Strategic Support:
Partnering with the Enterprise Global Sourcing team to develop and execute strategies that support Shaw’s businessobjectives, includingtimelyand cost-effective procurement and delivery.
Engaging in continuous training and support to ensure the team is well-equipped to handle evolving technology and sourcing needs.
Change Management:
Leading the efforts around change management as the company transitions to Oracle Fusion, ensuring that the technology adoption is smooth and that both technical and non-technical users are fully supported.
Global Perspective:
Given the international scope of Shaw’s supply chain, understanding the complexities of managing global suppliers and the tools needed to ensure seamless operations across multiple regions is essential.
Portfolio Management:
Although Oracle Fusion will be the primary technology used by the Global Sourcing organization, theSeniorPortfolioManager – SCT Global Sourcingwill play a key role in managing a diverse set ofancillarytools ensuring that all technologies work together efficiently to support global sourcing activities.
Skills and Experience Required:
Educational / ProfessionalBackground: Bachelor’sdegree (Supply Chain Management, OperationsManagementor related field) and 4+ yearspracticalbusiness experience.
Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of enterprise systems (particularly ERP platforms like Oracle Fusion), supply chain technologies, and data managementa plus.
Leadership: Experience managing teams and/orprojects, particularly in a technology-driven or cross-functional environment.
Problem-Solving: Ability toidentifychallenges in global sourcing and procurement and implement technology-based solutions.
Global Sourcing Knowledge: Understanding of global procurement, supplier management, andlogisticsprocesses.
Change Management: Ability to lead and support the adoption ofnew technologies, with a focus on user adoption and training.
