Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide a discretionary investment capability for the most sophisticated advisors and clients of the Wealth Management Company (WMC).
- Responsible for portfolio analysis, initial investment recommendation and ongoing management of Private Client Services accounts.
- Builds relationships with internal stakeholders such as Concierge Planning and Regional Sales Directors to increase awareness of PCS and the value it brings to advisors and end clients.
- Works exclusively with a handful of top advisors and their very best clients to construct portfolios in accordance with investment objectives of high-net worth clients with sophisticated situations. These clients tend to be business owners, C-suite executives, professional athletes, and other very affluent individuals in both the accumulation and distribution phases of their financial lives.
- Provide the most senior level of market and economic thought leadership to our field and their clients. This is done advisor by advisor or client by client, as part of broader client events held by an advisor, presenting in a number of venues such as network office days or home office-sponsored conferences.
- Responsible for delivery and execution of all complexities related to managing an existing book of business (typically $$1 billion or more Assets under Management), including but not limited to, assessing and delivering market and economic information as well as performance and portfolio construction information during the proposal stage and ongoing reviews with the top advisors and their end clients.
- Work with Wealth and Investment Management leadership on cross-departmental initiatives designed to enhance the overall investment offerings
- Leads a regional portfolio management team focused growing AUM, clients, and number of advisors using the program. Responsible for goal setting and career development for anywhere between two and five team members.
- Monitor and manage portfolio allocations relative to investment policy, including trading and implementing the desired security selection strategy.
- Create, communicate and execute transition plans for complex tax and investment situations.
- Educate advisors and their teams on how to best position the Private Client offering within their practices. The role may require a certain level of travel to effectively deliver on the above accountabilities.
Qualifications:
- B.S. Degree in business, finance and/or equivalent, advanced degree preferred.
- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Chartered Financial Consultant (CHFc), or Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation, or work toward designation preferred.
- Significant background in understanding, interpreting and articulating asset allocation, broad economy/market conditions and metrics.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to deliver that knowledge to colleagues, advisors and end clients at various levels of detail and understanding.
- Ability to effectively present in multiple formats (Home office training, conferences, board meetings, individual client settings, and field and study group visits) Extensive experience with equity and fixed income securities, mutual funds and exchange traded funds (ETFs) is a must.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze investment portfolios, including individual stocks and/or bonds and complete trading for stocks and funds.
- Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills.
- Technical expertise in standard applications including but not limited to Bloomberg, Excel, Word7-10 years of experience in the investment/fiduciary management industry,5 years of portfolio management and client service experience.
- Trust investment experience preferred.
- FINRA Non-registered fingerprinted.
This position has been classified as an Associated Person under NMIS guidelines and requires fingerprinting and completion of required form.
