Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Engineer specializing in plumbing to independently deliver engineering services, overseeing projects from conceptual design to construction completion.
Key Responsibilities:
Demonstrate expertise in project planning, coordination, and execution.
Independently manage conceptual design to construction drawing development for multiple small and medium-sized projects simultaneously.
Ensure conceptual designs adhere to Building Codes, Energy Codes, and LEED standards.
Conduct plumbing calculations and design layouts for equipment and plumbing systems on assigned projects.
Possess a strong understanding of commercial plumbing applications, including gas piping, waste and vent, domestic water distribution, and kitchen plumbing design.
Collaborate with engineering applications and/or managers on project decisions as needed.
Communicate and coordinate project designs with Project Management, Construction, Service departments, Controls, and other trade partners.
Conduct economic and energy analyses to inform project decisions.
Provide field engineering support as required, including trade coordination, scheduling, and problem-solving.
Maintain the quality of design drawings and models.
Effectively communicate with colleagues and project team members in a professional manner.
Manage time efficiently to meet project schedules and deadlines.
Supervise other design team members when requested by Manager.
Ensure compliance with client’s engineering standards and project execution processes.
Perform other duties as assigned by Manager.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
Professional Engineer license highly desirable, but not required.
Minimum of 8 years of experience with a Design/Build Mechanical Contractor or consultant.
Excellent understanding of engineering and design fundamentals.
Thorough knowledge of plumbing systems and applications.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
Familiarity with Building Codes and industry standards.
