Johnson Service Group (JSG) is recruiting for a, Senior Pipe Support Engineer, for a 6-month contract assignment supporting the U.S. Air Force facility near Ogden, UT. This onsite role offers a W2 hourly base rate with time and a half for overtime. Standard per diem is not offered but can be broken out of the base rate. Our client is targeting $85.00/hour for this role.

Bechtel National is contracted to Northrop Grumman to provide launch system design, construction, and integration for the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) system. This is U.S. Air Force program designed to modernize the nations ground element of the nuclear deterrent. Full time presence on project is required.

Responsibilities:
- Perform pipe support design and related calculations using GT Strudl.
- Create designs in accordance with DoD UFC standards, AISC & ASME B31.3, or applicable codes.
- Work closely with layout personnel and pipe stress engineers to deliver a quality and cost-effective design.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and vendors as required.
- Coordinate application of typical pipe supports and/or review/approval of layouts/isometrics as required.
Education / Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field.
- 9+ years of experience with common pipe support hardware, industry standards, and relevant codes such as AISC & ASME B31.3.
- Demonstrated proficiency with GT Strudl for engineer pipe support frame analysis.
- Ability to review/approve piping layouts & support requirements per DoD standards.
- Previous knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, and piping codes.
- Possess active security clearance or ability to obtain security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PE Registration.
- Previous DoD project experience.
- Previous Bechtel project experience.
