This position offers an opportunity to play a key role in recruitment, classification, compensation, and organizational development initiatives while fostering an inclusive and equitable work environment.
What You'll Do:
- Lead and supervise a team of clerical, technical, and professional staff.
- Advise City departments on position management and workforce planning.
- Conduct City-wide recruitments from start to finish, ensuring a seamless process.
- Perform job analysis, develop recruitment examinations, and conduct classification and compensation studies.
- Interpret and apply civil service rules, policies, and labor agreements.
- Address appeals to the Civil Service Board effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience: At least three years of professional HR experience in recruitment, classification, or benefits/retirement programs (public sector preferred).
- Education: Bachelor's degree in business, public administration, human resources, or a related field. A master's degree may substitute for one year of experience.
- Additional qualifying experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.
