About the Job
- Senior Payroll Specialist will process high volume payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
- Maintain and update payroll records, including employee information, salary changes, and deductions
- Handle payroll discrepancies and resolve issues promptly
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations
- Prepare and submit payroll reports and summaries to management
- As a Senior Payroll Specialist, you will collaborate with HR and other departments to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing
- Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation and distribution
- Stay updated with changes in payroll laws and regulations, and implement necessary updates in the payroll system
- Provide support and training to other payroll team members as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role, preferably in a large organization
- Extensive experience with PeopleSoft or similar payroll systems
- Strong knowledge of payroll laws and regulations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
