We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic team in the manufacturing industry. This role will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing and administration. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll management, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
1. Overseeing the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees.
2. Ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal payroll tax regulations and reporting requirements.
3. Working closely with the HR department to manage benefits and deductions, including healthcare, retirement, and tax withholdings.
4. Troubleshooting any payroll discrepancies and resolving employee payroll issues.
5. Implementing and maintaining payroll best practices to improve efficiency and consult with senior management on payroll strategies and solutions.
6. Conducting regular audits of payroll procedures, data, and reconciliations.
7. Utilizing UKG/UltiPro for payroll processing and related tasks.
8. Keeping up to date with current regulations and policies affecting payroll procedures and ensuring the company adheres to these changes.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role in payroll management.
2. Proficiency in UKG/UltiPro or similar payroll software.
3. Strong knowledge of payroll processes, procedures, and best practices.
4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to research and resolve payroll discrepancies.
5. A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
6. Strong knowledge of payroll tax laws and regulations.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with staff and management.
8. The ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines.
9. A degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
