Senior Payroll Specialist - Sparks Group

Job Summary/Company:

Sparks Group has partnered with a national mortgage lender to identify a Senior Payroll Specialist for their growing team. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, in this contract-to-hire role you’ll process payroll in a high-volume and fast-paced, team-oriented environment! Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for 1000+ exempt and non-exempt employees nationwide
• Monitor and review timesheets; ensure accuracy of approved timesheets
• Analyze, prepare and input payroll data into payroll system
• Process wage withholdings, i.e. child support, garnishments and notify employees
• Prepare and reconcile files for Payroll General Ledger
• Ensure the company payroll policies are in accordance with the government regulations Provide professional and courteous service to all employees regarding payroll issues and/or concerns
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Background Profile:

• Associate’s degree in relevant field; experience in lieu of a degree may be considered
• 3+ years of comprehensive payroll processing experience in a high-volume setting
• Must have multi-state, front-end payroll processing experience
• High-level proficiency with Microsoft Office products, specifically advanced knowledge of Excel - Pivot Tables and V-Lookup
• Experience utilizing Paycom software preferred
• Demonstrated error-free work; attention to detail and experience handling confidential information
• Ability to set priorities, resolve problems and escalate issues, as appropriate
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required

This job is Hybrid Remote.

Pay Range: Salary $75,000.00 to $85,000.00
