Job Description
Vaco has partnered with our client, a construction company near Bedminster, NJ, to recruit a Senior Payroll Specialist. The successful candidate will manage multi-state and union payroll processes efficiently. Preference will be given to Certified Payroll Professionals who have experience with construction industry payroll software, particularly Sage 300 or SAP Dynamics.
Key Responsibilities
- Process payroll using Sage 300.
- Oversee multi-state payroll operations.
- Handle union payroll requirements.
- Conduct transactions within payroll tracking software.
- Comply with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in Sage 300 or SAP Dynamics.
- Familiarity with payroll tracking software.
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on customer service.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification as a Payroll Professional.
- Experience with payroll systems specific to the construction industry.

- the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
- licensure and certification requirements;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
