What You Will Achieve
- Process multi-state biweekly payroll timely, accurately, and in compliance with local, State, and Federal regulations.
- Process all applicable payroll deductions, garnishments, earnings, and accruals. Audit and verify.
- Prepare, and verify compliance and submission of applicable tax documents.
- Prepare reports to support finance general ledger as it relates to payroll and benefits.
- Research discrepancies of payroll information and/or documentation as needed.
- Lead and facilitate required benefit tax filing and reporting activities.
- Lead and facilitate benefit administration for employee benefits including medical, dental, vision, Section 125 plans, 401(k), life and disability plans, workers compensation and COBRA, including handling plan renewals, reporting and communication.
- Ensure consistent application of benefit plans. Follow procedures, and guidelines and reporting to comply with all federal and state laws and regulatory requirements including FMLA, HIPAA, ADA, ACA, etc.
- Process all employee benefit plans including administering new hire enrollments and benefit changes, including terminations in ADP or various benefit platforms.
- Coordinates the new employee onboarding process and presents benefits presentations to ensure employees gain an understanding of benefit plans and enrollment process.
- Supervise retail store time clock, implement and communicate with management team for any policy/procedure udpates
- Support the HR team with additional HR projects as needed.
What You Will Need
- Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and work experience that will enable the candidate to be successful in the role
- 4+ years experience of leading payroll and benefits administration and processes.
- 4+ years of utilizing ADP or other similar payroll applications
- Knowledge of U.S. state and federal wage and labor laws (EEOC, compensation FLMA, etc.), regulations, rules, policies, and procedures is required
- Strong interpersonal skills to communication skills to interact with customers, management, and staff
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize work and manage projects.
- Enhanced organizational and planning skills with the ability to operate in a fast paced ever evolving environment
- Fluent in Chinese Mandarin is preferred
