Power your future with Qualus as a Senior Payroll Administrator. In the role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and support of payroll tasks. Uses UKG Pro platform for timely and accurate end to end processing of global and multi-state payrolls, accounting support, generating reports and other related responsibilities. This role partners with HR, accounting, and business unit contacts to ensure transactions are properly processed and reflected in the general ledger.
Responsibilities:- Utilizes UKG Pro platform to process multi-country payroll accurately and in compliance with local legislation, tax regulations, and employment laws.
- Processes hourly and salary payroll per established guidelines, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, local governmental regulations, and company policy.
- Collects, audits and inputs time and attendance data from Deltek system. Responds to employee and management inquiries regarding the calculation of pay.
- Ensures deduction withholding calculations, direct deposit, tax changes and employee requests are accurate.
- Maintains, processes, and responds to garnishments and income assignments, and related regulatory reports.
- Generates ad hoc payroll reports using UKG standard reports and Business Intelligence for responding to data requests.
- Reviews and processes UKG workflow job and salary changes. Audits and reviews information for completeness and accuracy.
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders to gather and validate payroll data, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Conducts audits and quality assurance checks on payroll inputs and outputs to maintain data integrity.
- Prepares UKG payroll reports, including tax filings, reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
- Assists in resolving payroll-related queries and escalations from clients and internal teams.
- Ensures 401(k) automated data files are uploaded and accurate. Reconciles 401(k) contributions and loans. Maintains 401(k) reports for year-end testing.
- Stays updated on changes in global payroll regulations and communicates relevant updates to the team and clients.
- Identifies process improvement opportunities and contributes to the development and implementation of payroll best practices.
- Maintains confidential employee data and ensures compliance with data protection regulations, and payroll records in accordance with retention policy.
- Assists with the development and documentation of payroll procedures and recommends improvements or changes to achieve greater accuracy and efficiency.
- Assists with UKG Pro updates, programming and updating business rules, and transitioning new divisions onto the UKG platform.
- Minimum of 3-4 years of experience with UKG Pro payroll processing.
- Associate’s degree in business, finance or accounting or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of payroll, payroll tax and human resources procedures
- Experienced in financial or operational reconciliations.
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools. Advanced Excel skills to analyze and balance payroll detail.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work and manage customer expectations.
