We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for supporting attorneys in delivering high-quality legal services. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of legal matters in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with all aspects of case preparation, including drafting legal documents, organizing case files, and conducting legal research.
- Coordinate and manage communication with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in legal proceedings.
- Prepare and file legal documents with courts and administrative agencies, ensuring compliance with all procedural requirements.
- Maintain and update legal databases, calendars, and case management systems to track deadlines and milestones.
- Conduct factual investigations and gather relevant evidence to support legal arguments.
- Assist in the preparation of deposition summaries, trial exhibits, and other trial-related materials.
- Provide administrative support to attorneys, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and preparing expense reports.
- Stay current on legal developments, regulations, and procedural rules relevant to assigned practice areas.
- Collaborate with other members of the legal team to ensure efficient and effective case management.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by attorneys or supervisory personnel.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate from an accredited institution.
- Previous experience working as a paralegal in a law firm or corporate legal department preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, attorneys, and other stakeholders.
- Proficiency in legal research and document drafting, with knowledge of legal terminology and citation rules.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines.
- Proficiency in using legal research databases, case management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards in handling sensitive information.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and willingness to take on new challenges.
