Job Details
We need more hands managing claims in house, so this person will make sure that claims are being handled the right way. This person will be handling all claims from different branches in the field and managing the each claim from start to finish.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the claims department, ensuring all claims are processed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Liaise with our General Counsel, adjusters, and various attorneys to manage litigated claims and engage in arbitration proceedings.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate potential risks.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations pertaining to Workers' Compensation.
- Manage relationships with insurance providers, adjusters, and attorneys.
- Coordinate and supervise the work of the claims team, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the claims team.
- Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement risk management strategies.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Workers' Compensation, Insurance, Arbitration, Risk Assessment, and Legal Proceedings.
- Proven experience as a Claims Manager or similar role in the insurance industry.
- Strong knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to Workers' Compensation.
