Summary of Position:
The Senior Paralegal will play a supervisory role to a team of assigned Paralegals and Legal Assistants, while working closely with attorneys to deliver exceptional legal support. The Senior Paralegal will collaborate with the Managing Paralegal and HR to streamline workflows, develop strategies and policies, and maintain operational excellence within the legal team.

As a Senior Paralegal at Burnham Law Firm, your daily responsibilities will be:

- Supervise, lead, and mentor paralegals and legal assistants assigned to a team
- Review billed hours, teamwork product, compliance with minimum employment
requirements of the team, and quarterly goals to track performance - Train new team members in office protocols, case management systems, billing practices,
ethical requirements, communication practices, and work product - Assist with team development by identifying opportunities for skill improvement and
encouraging professional growth - Delegate tasks effectively while ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines and standards
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team
members - Participate in interviews for eligible positions with other senior paralegals
- Meet regularly with the managing paralegal to discuss team assignments and progress in
performance - Participate in training, performance improvement plans, write-ups, hiring, and terminations
- Monitor team performance and prepare regular reports for leadership, identifying challenges
and recommending solutions - Collaborate with leadership to create and refine departmental policies and procedures
- Analyze workflows to identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements
- Ensure all team activities adhere to legal, ethical, and regulatory standards
- Regularly assess team morale and productivity, addressing any concerns proactively
- Be available and engaging with team members to provide opportunities to continue to
maintain a safe and positive work environment

Education/Experience Requirements:
- Associate Degree in paralegal studies or related work experience
- A minimum of 5 years of paralegal experience
- Managerial or supervisory experience preferred
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations and information with tact, diplomacy, and
professionalism - Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Exceptional time management skills and proven ability to meet deadlines
