About the Job
As the Operation /General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our company by managing and optimizing business operations. You will oversee various departments, including sales, operations, and finance, to ensure the efficient delivery of our services and maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction. This position reports directly to the President of the company.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities::
Sales:
- Oversee the Sales Manager to ensure sales team meets weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly sales goals
- Develop and execute sales strategies including new business and customer growth opportunities
- Provide input on project feasibility, timelines, and resource allocation.
Operations:
- Oversee Operations Director to ensure revenue and profitability goals are achieved
- Ensure client satisfaction through effective communication and problem resolution.
- Oversee Shop Manager to facilitate maintenance and repairs of vehicles and equipment to minimize downtime and costs
- Negotiate favorable terms and pricing agreements to optimize procurement
- Enforce safety protocols and compliance
Finance:
- Oversee Director of Finance to ensure the overall financial health of the company
- Assist in the development and management of departmental budgets.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to control expenses.
Strategy:
- Work with Presidents to improve organizational efficiency in all areas of the business
- Provide high level reporting to Presidents to allow for company wide decision making
- Facilitate the communication and implementation of company policies and initiatives

- 7-10 years of direct industry experience, along with 4+ years of management and leadership.
- Demonstrable knowledge of all construction processes with an emphasis on commercial asphalt work.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and industry standards/best practices
- Ability to communicate effectively and work with senior management to achieve the necessary goals set for specific projects.
- Proven ability to supervise, train and develop
- Must be able to perform in a team atmosphere with proven leadership
- Ability to view plans and proposals, visualize the job and see the
- Proven performer with bottom-line responsibility
- Experience managing projects involving incentives/disincentives with strict
- Knowledge of fleet management and equipment maintenance
