About the Job
SeniorNetwork Engineer with a strong background in data center routing and switching.
PersonalQualifications:
Bachelorsdegree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Information Systems,Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
Minimumof 10 years experience in computer system or network engineering.
Mustdemonstrate knowledge of the most current Information Technology InfrastructureLibrary (ITIL) standards.
AtleastOne of the following certifications preferred: ITIL, CCNA, CCNP, Network%2B, etc.
Capabilities:
Thoroughknowledge of local and wide area networking technologies, protocols, andequipment as well as network security and business continuity.
Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, etc.).
ApplyDevSecOps principles, agile software engineering best practices, and tools toIT infrastructure and operations.
Supportmajor network architecture changes, like new devices deployment and placement,network architecture redesign, hardware configuration changes, wirelessdeployments, and implementation/modification of test/development/medical deviceenclaves.
Thecandidate shall also demonstrate the below knowledge and experience:
Minimumof 10 years experience in supporting enterprise-grade routers and switches ina large data center environment
Demonstrating expertise in supporting and configuring the followingtechnologies: BGP, OSPF, STP in NXOS and IOSXE platforms
Experience designing, planning, testing, implementing, supporting andtroubleshooting large data center networks
Experience with Cisco Nexus switches (9K, 7K, etc) and Cisco Catalyst switchesand routers
XVLAN,Wireless and AWS networking is a plus
TheContractor shall deliver, but not limited to, the following:
Assistthe networking team with daily operations and ongoing projects, includingtroubleshooting routing and switching issues, developing new designs, managingmaintenance windows, and handling any other tasks as required.
Extensiveexpertise in BGP and OSPF, traffic engineering, route optimization, andfailover scenarios.
