LS Technologies, a Tetra Tech Company, is seeking a Senior Network Engineer/Trainerto support the NEOSS program by working with clients, LS Technologies personnel, contractors and other government officials primarily at the FAA National Enterprise Management Center (NEMC) in Hampton, Georgia. The position provides second level System support to develop, manage and maintain configuration plans, standard operating procedures, and FAA policies and best practices. The successful candidate must apply their telecommunications experience, which includes voice, and data communications standards as well as a technical understanding of Internet Protocol (IP) network performance, routing protocols, routing configuration and IP network management.
This position will also support the development and implementation of the new National Airspace System (NAS) Enterprise Messaging Services (NEMS) infrastructure, as well as the on-ramping and activation of new systems and services thereon. The candidate must therefore assist the FAA in providing system support for NAS enterprise services using the FAA operational network. The FAA is seeking an individual proficient in NAS operations and data communications in order to successfully integrate these new systems and services into the operational NAS environment.

Education
- Bachelor's Degree plus 15 years' relevant experience or High School graduate plus 23 years' relevant experience
Qualifications
- A minimum of 15 years' experience in telecommunications working with and installing IP networking technology and systems.
- An understanding and working knowledge of FAA Telecommunications and the National Airspace System (NAS).
- Must possess and be able to demonstrate proficiency with the following:
- Implementation and management of Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) standards and practices.
- Maintenance of VMware and Linux Operating Systems in an operational environment.
- Troubleshooting IP networks, including the use of industry standard test equipment and tools.
- Troubleshooting and repairing various communications equipment including IP systems, RF transmitters and receivers, transceivers, satellite equipment, channel banks and other multiplexing devices.
- Must be skillful with MS Office suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Excel.
- Ability to multi-task, handle a fast-paced work environment, and adapt to rapidly changing priorities.
- Must possess excellent writing and oral communication skills in English, as well as time management and organizational skills.
- Must be willing to perform detailed work with little guidance and to interact in a positive manner with other government and industry personnel.
- The ideal candidate will have had previous experience working in a Network Operations Center.
- Applicants must possess or meet eligibility requirements for gaining a security clearance. US citizenship is required.
Work Requirements:
- Work location: Hampton, GA
- Work Hours: On site 3 days per week (required). Normal working hours.
- Travel: 25-50%
- Physical requirements:
- Extended Computer Use - Regular and prolonged periods of working at a computer terminal.
- Lifting and Carrying - Occasional lifting of equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds may be required during installations or maintenance.
- Mobility - Ability to move around the office environment to access computer hardware, networking equipment, and server rooms.
- Dexterity - Manual dexterity and visual acuity to operate computer equipment, troubleshoot issues, and perform tasks requiring precision.
- Sitting/Standing - Both prolonged sitting and occasional standing may be required for troubleshooting and attending to system issues.
- Background check: Must have ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust designation from the federal government.

Compensation (Pay Bands)
Salary at LST is determined by a wide array of factors, such as (but not limited to) education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and is based on full-time, 40 hour/week status. Part-time staff receive compensation at an hourly rate. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements) and is just one component of LSTs total compensation package for employees. ** In compliance with local laws, LS Technologies presents this reasonable compensation range as a guideline for roles in California, Colorado, New York, or Washington D.C."
