Senior Network Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Troubleshoots the complex network issues involving LAN, WAN, VPN connectivity.
- Function as a provisioning engineer when required on projects involving subject matter expertise.
- Function as a subject matter expert for specific projects as required.
- Maintain 24x7 Payment Processing environments which require 5 9’s uptime.
- Comply with best practices policies and procedures to ensure an efficient, stable, secure, and manageable customer network, processing environment and corporate infrastructure.
- Help create and improve best practice network implementation policies and procedures.
- Help maintain and administer existing setups, networks, corporate domain, and environments.
- Conduct head-to-head troubleshooting and communicate with management efficiently as needed.
- Perform physical and logical analysis of client networks and connectivity.
- Document physical and logical network and hardware diagrams.
- Provision and install hardware and software for end user, corporate and processing infrastructure.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
- 7+ years of professional industry experience
- SonicWall and/or Fortinet Firewall Administration
- Great understanding of VPN setup and Configuration, Site to Site vs Client to Site.
- PCI familiarity and a good understanding of Network Security and Administration.
- Cisco/Dell Switch and Router configuration.
- Subnetting IP Space, Public vs Private, Class vs Classless IP subnetting.
- Endpoint Security and Microsoft Defender Security and Administration.
- Security and administration for Active directory Domains, Windows, and Server Versions
- Understanding of System Architecture and Design. VPN architecture and design
- VMWare Configuration and Support. ESXI Snapshots, Storage, VSAN, configuration.
- Understanding and Troubleshooting Servers as part of OSI Stack. Windows Server 2012 and higher.
- Understanding of Windows servers, such as DHCP, DNS, and GPO services; Server hardware configuration, design, and maintenance
- Working knowledge of 0365 and email; Spam service configuration in O365.
- Experience with PCI environment and audit
- Experience with vulnerability scanners and patching found vulnerabilities.
- Experience implementing corporate security policies.
- Experience dealing with vendors for hardware purchases; Experience dealing with software licensing for applications
- On call and emergency services readiness
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- AWS and Azure infrastructure knowledge
- Related network or infrastructure certifications
- Bachelor’s degree
