Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to perform as a consultant for leading edge information technologies and methodologies to join our dynamic team in the Annapolis Junction MD., area. Our dynamic team provides full spectrum network connectivity including architecture, engineering, development, integration, deployment, configuration management, project management and network security services to the global enterprise, as well as systems and cloud engineering services for application modernization and transition of legacy applications into hybrid cloud platforms.

The ideal candidate will have a strong project management background coupled with network engineering background, as well as experience with network vendor products (i.e. Cisco, Palo Alto, Sonicwall, etc.).
The Senior Network Engineer duties may include but are not limited to:
- Consult in highly specialized, leading edge information technologies and methodologies.
- Provide technical guidance concerning automated solutions to complex analysis and studies and prepares reports and presentations.
- Maintain network infrastructure standards including network communication protocols
- Complete medium to large complex projects and major phases of very large projects
**This role requires 100% on-site support M-F**
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Active/current TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering science, or related discipline is required and 10 years of relevant experience. Five (5) years of additional IT related experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in the Information Technology field is required.
- Active DoD 8570 certification (IAT Level II compliance) is required.
- Experience in two (2) to three (3) of the following areas:
- Network troubleshooting
- Routers/switches
- Cisco IOS/Junos OS
- Firewalls
- Hubs/Bridges/gateways
- Network packet investigation/analysis tools
- Database tools
- Experience leading medium to large complex projects.
- Demonstrated experience providing highly technical and specialized guidance and solutions to complex IT problems.
- Experience ensuring that the project delivers to government expectations on time and to budget.
- Ability to perform elaborate analyses and studies and prepare reports and give presentations
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience performing DDI (Domain Name System (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), and IP Address Management (IPAM)) for critical network infrastructure services.
- Experience supporting MultiCloud Fabric (MCF) infrastructure.
- Cloud engineering and modernization experience.
- Software Defined Networking experience.
- Experience in Enterprise or Global Network Architecture is highly desired.
