Senior Network Engineer

The client is a leading company in the Banking and Financial Services Industry who is seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join their innovative team. In this key role, you will analyze, implement, and configure the network infrastructure.

You will have the opportunity to perform network design, administration, and monitoring. If you enjoy the end-to-end experience of designing LAN/WAN networks, racking, cabling, configuring network security, as well as monitoring performance and resolving issues, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

Please note this is a hybrid position - majority of time is remote but there is occasional time (<15%) onsite at the client's Houston, TX area office.

As a Senior Network Engineer you will:

• Research and recommend LAN/WAN network designs that optimize for performance and resilience
• Deploy and configure network equipment and solutions
• Monitor network environment performance
• Track, troubleshoot, and resolve connectivity and performance issues

Requirements:

• 4+ years of network administration experience
• Hand-on experience with Cisco VXLAN
• Experience using Cisco Nexus Dashboard Fabric Controller network management platform
• Experience implementing network infrastructure (i.e., LAN/WAN, wireless, VPN)
• Expert knowledge of routing and switching protocols
• CCNP or CCDP certifications are a major plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, information systems, or related field
• Financial services or banking industry is preferred
• Occasional after-hours and weekend support may be required
• Hybrid position - majority of time is remote but there is occasional time (<15%) onsite at client’s Houston, TX area office
