Description:
Provides engineering leadership in support of Copeland’s Global IT Enterprise networks and infrastructure technologies. The Senior Network Cloud Security Engineer will provide Level II and Level III technical support for the IT Enterprise. The Senior Network Cloud Security Engineer will work under the direction of the Network Engineering Manager and the Global Director of Network Services.
As a Senior Network Cloud Security Engineer , You Will:
+ Plan, designs, and implements network infrastructure technologies specific to Cloud Networking Infrastructure and Security services.
+ Supports Cloud and infrastructure operations as a Level II/III technical resource and provides technical leadership and mentoring to the operations group.
+ Analyses and evaluates emerging network and communication technology.
+ Functions as a trusted advisor to the leadership of the various Copeland Business units globally.
+ Provides leadership and technical guidance as an SME for the Enterprise IT communications.
+ Works with Security and Cloud Infrastructure groups as an SME for Enterprise IT Communications.
Required Education, Experience & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in CS, MIS or a related technology/engineering field preferred or equivalent experience required. Military Occupational Specialties (MOS) in a relevant IT field will also be considered as equivalent.
Advanced Industry certifications in Cloud and Security services required. Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certification preferred. Military Occupational Specialties (MOS) with minimal of 6 years experience that focus on IT Communication will be accepted.
10 or more years working in an Architect or Engineering position with a focus on Cloud and Security infrastructure services.
Hands-on experience in solving and resolving challenges with large, distributed cloud based services.
Hands-on experience administering firewall and network security serivces.
In-depth knowledge of VLANs, spanning tree, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, physical layer protocols i.e. LACP and other trucking technologies.
Detailed knowledge of Security technologies and their relations to Network communications.
Familiarity with zScaler Security, remote access, and segmentation solutions.
Experience leading the evaluation of new hardware, firmware, and software. Tests and develops procedural documentation and training for others on installation and support.
Identifies training needs, coordinates training, and participates in the development of training materials.
Support root cause analysis of problems and tracks, documents and reports identified patterns.
Work with various customer and Enterprise IT support groups in diagnosing network service-related problems.
Ability to perform maintenance activities outside of normal business hours.
PREFFERED SKILLS:
+ Program management experience.
+ Excellent Communication and Teamwork skills.
+ Advanced English language skills (verbal, reading, writing, understanding).
+ Advanced experience working with Microsoft 365 products including Visio and Project.
+ Experience of working in a global matrix environment is essential.
+ Expert level knowledge in planning, crafting, and fixing network systems.
+ Intermediate knowledge of Cloud networking, load balancing, and security specifically with Azure and AWS.
+ Process Discipline and Documentation skills.
+ Experience working within ITIL 3/4 framework.
+ Working knowledge of modern industry trends and products
+ Excellent understanding of the OSI model and its relations to networking technologies.
+ Advanced skills in resolving complex network problems.
+ Hands on experience with routers, switches, firewall, Load balancers
+ Experience of operating in an Enterprise environment with strict change control procedure
Flexible Work Schedule:
This role has the flexibility of a remote work option up to three days a week and a core hour schedule. You can choose to flex your start and stop times given you are working during the core hours of 9:00am - 3:00pm.
