As a Senior Network Account Manager, you will be responsible for the full range of end-to-end business partnerships and service interactions to build and nurture positive relationships between the contract requirements, providers (agency, physician, ancillary, etc.) and market managers. Vendor Management is a growing organization within OptumServe Shared Services and is positioned to support all OptumServe business units. We perform critical work for our nation’s most vulnerable populations. You will find your place and purpose working within OptumServe working in a diverse workplace.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Build rapport and maintain solid, long-standing provider relationships based on professional trust.
- Identify, develop and solicit offers and bids from large Healthcare Systems and Networks to expand the capabilities of the provider network.
- Negotiating complex fee schedules and mobile exam solutions,
- Manage provider performance, finance/reimbursement process, legal/HR awareness of staff situations and credentialing activities.
- Work with OptumServe Legal and Compliance team to develop new contracts, update contracts and modify language to meet growing and changing business needs.
- Design and implement programs to build and nurture positive relationships between the contract requirements, providers (agency, physician, ancillary, etc.), and market managers.
- Implement strategies relating to the development and management of a provider network. May also be involved in identifying and remediating operational short-falls and researching and remediating claims.
- Travel within authorized budget in support of Account Manager duties and delivery of customer satisfaction.
- Prepare presentations and worksheets to be shared with leadership team to convey provider performance
- Protect OptumServe from risk and liability by writing, enforcing, and adhering to compliance and legal standards
- Conduct Quarterly and Annual Business Reviews
- Drive changes and process adoption through collaboration, relationship building and solutioning

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Business or related field OR four years relevant work experience
- 3+ years of sales negotiating, subcontracting experience, order acquisition, human resources experience or related work experience
- Skilled in Account Management Process and Call Planning
- Proficiency with MS Office (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint)
- Ability to be on call over weekends and evenings as needed
- Ability to travel 25% of the time

Preferred Qualifications:
- Supplier, vendor, account management or sourcing and procurement or related operations experience
- Experience managing contracting processes and procedures
- Prior experience with federal programs
- Experience managing highly complex programs
- Proficiency in data and analytics
- Broad healthcare experience
- Database experience/education
Soft Skills:
- Ability to influence and negotiate through use of verbal, written and interpersonal means with a diverse group of people/disciplines at all levels of an organization
- Ability to demonstrate an appropriate level of assertiveness in performing work responsibilities and in making work related decisions
- Must be able to be customer focused with strong listening skills
- Able to map and understand buying processes in complex organizations
- Understanding the customer to conduct appropriate communications and representation
- Ability to read reports, analyze reports, and create action plans based on performance

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $64,800 - $116,000. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $71,400 - $127,400. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
