The projected compensation range for this position is $102,700.00-$170,800.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Navy Model Based Systems Engineer to join our team in Washington, DC.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Work will involve performing engineering analyses of customer mission and performance requirements to define UxV attributes in engineering terms.
- Perform engineering studies leading to the allocation of UxV attributes to UxV systems in terms of design direction, performance, configuration, space and weight, and arrangement. Perform design and engineering studies to identify the degree of UxV systems integration required to meet the mission requirements.
- Provide Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) of designs in the form of technical products such as drawings, conceptual and product engineering designs, calculations, schematics, reports, etc.
- Ensure structures can withstand the stresses and pressures imposed by use and the environment.
- Calculate stability, strength and rigidity and make sure the right materials are used
for shipbuilding programs.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 10+ years professional experience
- Master's degree in engineering, operations research, or other sciences where the utilization of advanced math skills is required (e.g. business, mathematics, statistics, and probability)
Preferred Qualifications:
- 15 or more years of professional experience performing Model Based Systems Engineering
- Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering principles.
- Knowledge of the Systems Modeling Language (SysML) or Unified Modeling Language (UML)
Clearance Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Interim Top-Secret clearance with eligibility for Top Secret
