About the Job
Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer orientated Senior Mission Coordinator to join our team at NAS Fallon, NV supporting NSWC CORONA Range Systems Engineering Department for Navy Integrated Training Environment. This is an onsite position.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
+ Reports directly to the Operations Site Manager (OSM) for NAS Fallon, NV.
+ Manages a team of ManTech & subk support personnel supporting NITE team.
+ Coordinates/confers with OSM, Sustainment Engineering Manager and Range Safety Manager (RSM) for Team daily/weekly and long-range work assignments and support requirements.
+ Enforces work standards, assigns contractor schedules, reviews work discrepancies, supervises contractor personnel, and communicates policies, purposes, and goals of the organization to subordinates.
+ Supports a team environment based on mutual respect and teamwork, dedicated to innovation and effective, efficient work practices.
+ Supports the Program Manager in providing overall excellent contract performance to the client as outlined by CPAR.
+ Responsible for development, production, and continuous update of written, photographic, audio, video and mixed media training aids and materials for mission planning.
+ Familiarizes users with range capabilities, assets, and operational procedures with detailed debriefings. Supports planning and coordination for agencies participating in or supporting training operations.
+ Attends pre-mission conferences for users and support groups.
+ Coordinates training system assets. Communicates daily with aviation units, air control units, airspace/air traffic control agencies and other training system facilities to ensure coordination of necessary participants.
+ Maintains computer database of range utilization, prepares reports of range availability/scheduling/utilization.
+ Develops and presents briefings on capability, operation, and requirements to military and government agencies, to include VIP presentations.
+ Provides for equipment operator training for on-site personnel in operation of display consoles. Conducts equipment demonstrations for authorized personnel.
+ Supports users with developing training scenarios and coordination of fleet exercises (Range Training Officers). Implements and administers effective, rapid, and comprehensive method of distributing mission scenarios and updates.
+ Provides feedback on mission results. Provides post-mission debriefings.
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in STEM or related field
+ 5 years of experience performing DoD exercise coordination activities
+ 10 years of professional experience in operations management
+ Demonstrated mission planning experience with O-FRP Advanced/Integrated and Sustainment phase events. (i.e. related to training/N7)
+ Familiarity with West Coast range assets and their applicability to O-FRP Advanced/Integrated and Sustainment phase events
+ Familiarity with Fleet synthetic training
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Master’s degree in STEM or related field
+ Familiarity with the United States Navy
+ Management/leadership experience
Clearance Requirements:
+ DOD Secret
Physical Requirements:
+ Less than 5% travel anticipated
+ Work a normal mission day in the office at a government facility
+ The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
+ Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which will involve delivering presentations.
