Entegris is currently seeking a Sr. Metrology Engineer to join its global metrology team in Billerica, MA. In this role, he or she will focus on methods standardization of process and products release tests in Micro-contamination Control (MC) Division in Entegris. The Sr. Metrology Engineer serves as a subject matter expert on process and products release test tools, including LPC, Flow rate, Diffusion, and Bubble point, etc, and provide solutions to technical issues in those testing tools. He or she will be the global metrology representative in MC to enforce testing method standardization to ensure reliable and consistent test results across all labs and processes, implement new testing tool and upgrade or replace old tools to satisfy test capacity/demand balance. The successful candidate will manage the test standardization program and develop long term strategies to implement the standardized test methods in MC’s plants by working closely with our global teams of Quality, NPI, Operation, and R&D to support the organization’s strategic direction.
In this role you will:

- The role will manage the test standardization program and develop long term strategies to implement the standardized test methods in MC’s manufactories
- Serves as a subject matter expert to provide solutions to technical issues on process and products release test tools, including LPC, Flow rate, Diffusion, and Bubble point tests
- Enforce testing method alignment to ensure reliable and consistent test results across all labs and processes
- Work with QE to design plan to qualify testing tools
- Coordinate on new test method/SOP development and testing tool Gauge R&R qualification
- Implement new testing tool and upgrade or replace old tools to satisfy test capacity/demand balance
What are the Position Specific Competencies? Define the skills/competencies necessary to do the job. These should tie directly back to the purpose and outcome.
- B.S. or master’s degree in chemical engineering, physics, chemistry, or other related field;
- 6+ years’ manufactory working experience with 2+ years project management experience within a global, multicultural, multi-location organization serving the semi-conductor or other high tech industry
- Strong communication skills across the organization and ability to develop and implement a project specific communication plan
- Experience with Gauge R&R design is desired.
- Demonstrated problem solving skills and strong passion on learning new testing techniques
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic and collaborative working environment
- Ability to travel to different geographic locations
Process quality improvement certification (Six Sigma, DFSS, etc.) is a plus.
