Senior Metallurgist Summary:

This job COULD BE a career progression step from a Product Metallurgist or an entry position for candidates with significant and relevant metals processing experience. OR AN EXPERIENCED METALLURGIST.

Principal Responsibilities:

Ensuring that product has been produced in accordance with the defined metallurgical processes, including:

• Ensuring that the product meets the customer requirements.

• Ensuring that the customer approval and fixed practice requirements have been followed.

• Arranging for re-testing, rework, and deviation of non-conforming product.

• Working with the Operations and Planning group to facilitate material movement through the department.

• Assisting the Chief Metallurgist with the introduction of new products or processes into standard production and writing detailed technical reports.

TITANIUM AND/OR AEROSPACE EXPERIENCE IS HIGHLY PREFERRED.
