Our client:
Our client is a growing MEP Engineering firm operating nationwide and internationally out of their office in midtown NYC. They continually pursue simple, eloquent solutions to complex problems, minimizing construction costs by focusing on the overall efficiency for the most streamlined design. This comprises Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Sprinkler and Fire Protection services, as well as Building Condition Assessments, Energy Modeling and Design Reviews. Projects include hotels, offices, education, retail and residential (such as passive houses). Our client is an energetic office with a vibe more like a tech firm than an old-school MEP firm.

Job Description:
Excellent position for a licensed MEP Engineer with 10- 15 + years of MEP or AEC or similar experience, winning and running projects. This is for the right individual, a “people person”, with experience managing projects and project teams. Our client will help market you and your skills and your team. You will have a team of MEP engineers and a back office of engineers and designers. You may bring project leads, but our client will provide you with existing projects and project leads. This is for someone who can connect with clients. Someone who can prepare presentations to clients, along with budgets and proposals. As well, someone who can relate to business owners such as commercial and residential building owners. Remote or Hybrid

Requirements and responsibilities:

• 10 - 15 + years of experience as a MEP Engineer/Office Principal, Architect/Office Principal, Business Owner, or Senior Project Manager, perhaps someone who has run his/her own business
• Develop a business development plan with focus on NYC and surrounding areas business.
• Oversee all HVAC, Electrical, and Plumbing trades.
• Responsible for a variety of duties including client contact and successful relationship development
• Maintain, develop, and improve contact with key personnel of current and potential clients.
• Desire someone who has a solid MEP background.
• PE License or RA desired
• Experience in business development to bring in revenue from existing relationships as well as additional revenue from leads and new clients.
• Proven experience in client sales
• Ability to develop and implement strategies to drive business development activity.
• Experience in client relations and project management
• Proven success in growing a business and winning work.
• Write proposals to clients for new projects.

Education:
BS degree in Engineering, Architecture, Business, etc. Licensed PE
