We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Engineering Manager in our Facilities Department. Make an Impact! Join a dynamic team of like minded change leaders that are playing a pivotol role in driving growth and innovation within our MEP Division. The Senior Mechanical Engineering Manager will coordinate and direct a team of Project Managers and staff. The MEP Division is a highly innovative team within the Facilities Department. The Facilities Division is a multi-disciplinary team that works on focused and multi-disciplinary project opportunities in numerous private and public markets.The Senior Mechanical Engineering Manager may also prepare and implement annual business goals and assist with multi-year strategic business plans. The right candidate can work remotely from any of our East Coast operations.
Responsibilities
- Reviews and confirms accuracy of the work by technical team.
- Creates and tracks project budgets & schedules and identifies potential issues.
- Responsible for technical, quality, and financial performance of the technical team.
- Answers questions and resolves issues brought forth by engineering, technical, and project teams.
- Acts as the Designer of Record when required.
- Conducts various tests and quality assurance checks to verify the quality of completed projects.
- Proposes and oversees budgets and timelines for engineering and/or technical projects.
- Ensures compliance with all environmental, survey, and other rules, regulations, and permitting requirements.
- Reviews contract plan and agreement documents for accuracy, as related to specific technical discipline.
- May oversee technical staff and ensure supervisory tasks are complete, to include reviewing/approving timesheets, performing annual reviews, and assuring compliance with company and department policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 7+ years experience
- Knowledge with MS Office, AutoCAD, MicroStation, Deltek Vision, Revit.
- Must possess the ability to work both independently and as part of a Project Team, strong leadership, and interpersonal skills, ability to interact with clients, vendors, regulatory agencies, and other external sources in a professional manner.
Skills and Experience
- Excellent verbal and written skills are required
- Public Speaking/Presentation skills are a plus
- The ability to work indepndently and in a collaborative environment is important
- PE Licensure in MD, VA, PA required, Licensure in other state is highly desireable.

Benefits: Kleinfelder offers an excellent compensation and benefits package, including: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) plan, and paid holidays. The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the Equal Pay Act. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience. Salary range: $88,677-$120,269.
