Senior Mechanical Engineer (Manufacturing)
We are seeking a growth-minded, results-driven Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team and take our flow sensor production to the next level. In this high-impact role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the future of our manufacturing operations by ensuring quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement. You will work closely with both external partners and internal teams to ensure that our standards remain world-class. The ideal candidate will bring technical knowledge, hands-on experience and exposure/ knowledge of machining, welding, assembly, and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in spearheading the performance of third-party machining operations, ensuring execution, on-time delivery, and peak productivity. Maintain strong relationships with partners to drive improvements and resolve challenges.
- Process Innovation & Efficiency: Champion the continuous enhancement of machining processes, optimizing workflows, and ensuring strict compliance with quality standards. Implement cutting-edge manufacturing technologies to drive improvements.
- CAD Design & Modifications: Utilize SolidWorks (or similar advanced CAD software) to design, model, and refine components with high precision. Contribute to design improvements and modifications to meet production goals.
- Comprehensive Quality Assurance: Conduct as needed product inspections, leveraging techniques to ensure that products meet quality specifications.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Partner with internal teams across various functions (engineering, production, and operations) to improve processes, reduce costs, and ensure operational efficiency.
- Documentation & Regulatory Compliance: Update as needed documentation of production processes, including design changes. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Qualifications
- Educational Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Extensive Technical Experience: Knowledge in machining, welding, assembly, and manufacturing processes, with an understanding of fluid and thermal dynamics being a plus, not required.
- Software Proficiency: Expertise in SolidWorks or other CAD software, along with knowledge of finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) a plus.
- Hands-On Expertise: Practical knowledge of machining processes, welding, and assembly operations.
- Quality Control: Exposure to quality control processes, including statistical process control (SPC), lean manufacturing, and best practices for continuous improvement.
- Analytical Acumen: Strong mathematical and analytical skills, with a focus on measurement and production-related calculations.
- Problem-Solving Excellence: Exceptional troubleshooting skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to resolve complex mechanical issues quickly and effectively.
